SELECTED WORKS
by CAMILLA HOWALT
This selection brings together works developed over extended duration and across multiple geographical sites. Each operates through restrained systems - grids, coordinates, binding, suspension - within which variation emerges through repetition and material resistance.
Place enters the works as structure rather than reference. Surfaces register trace, pressure, and accumulation. Orientation is often withheld. Drawing operates as an underlying logic across painting, textiles, installation, sound, and spatial line, organising how marks extend into surface, volume, air, and time.
The works are not presented as discrete statements but as adjacent conditions. Meaning remains embedded in procedure and proximity, sustained through refusal of closure and selective circulation.
