About the Work
ET HIC And Here / And in This Place 1–12 is structured through deformation, integration, and sustained material negotiation. A grid remains present but no longer functions as a stabilising armature. Its lines thicken, bend, and reconfigure, producing an infrastructure that is internally generated rather than imposed.
Organic elements emerge from the grid’s joints and intersections. They are not applied or positioned but arise through accumulation and resistance, allowing structure and surface to coalesce. Form develops through duration, pressure, and modulation, maintaining tension without collapse.
The work operates without hierarchy or focal point. Growth and containment are held simultaneously, producing a field in which control and deviation remain active. Surface registers care, repetition, and adjustment rather than completion.
An unresolved condition is sustained in which system and organism are co-emergent. Meaning is withheld from reference and narrative, remaining embedded in deformation, continuity, and the maintenance of an unstable but persistent ground.
