WELCOME TO NOTES
BY CAMILLA HOWALT
A Paid Blog
Step into a private space of reflection - a place where I explore the subtle shifts in perspective, the interplay between physiological and psychological states, and the visceral experience of art.
Guided by a desire to hold space for the other as other, these writings echo Luce Irigaray’s notion of “I love to you”: a form of love that honours difference, relation, and the impossibility of total knowing.
Here, I share intimate explorations of pain points - cross-sections of fragmented sensuality, traced and mapped with care.
NOTES is not promotional or loud. It’s a contemplative space for those drawn to the quiet power of texture, colour, and emotion - and how they speak through the work itself.
“Colour gives texture its emotional resonance, while texture imparts depth and materiality to the colour…”

L’ÉCRITURE D’ÉTÉ: A Modern interpretation of Eros and Psyche
A short story by Camilla Howalt about a man's encounter with an art muse which sparks a series of events where dream symbols, drawings, and a heart condition intertwine. These elements lead him on a journey to become an architect and artist, defying limitations and blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
